After arrest Hemant Soren, the former CM of Jharkhand and executive president of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), has been sent to judicial custody for one day in connection with the land scam.
"Hemant Soren has been sent to judicial custody for one day. A demand for 10 days remand was put but the order has been reserved and the next hearing will take place tomorrow," advocate Manish Singh said.
ED arrested Soren in a money laundering case linked to a land scam on Wednesday night after he resigned as state CM. JMM leader Champai Soren has been elected as the leader of the legislature party and is slated to meet Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan at 5.30 pm today.
Meanwhile as per reports, JMM led coalition is mullying shifting its MLAs to Hyderabad to prevent any poaching attempts by BJP. Sources have revealed that two charter planes- one 12 seater and another 37 seats to shift MLAs to Hyderabad.
